WHAT IS OUR ROLE AS ESCROW AGENT?
As part of our service in performing your closing, we will be glad to also act as your escrow agent to hold any required deposits in your transaction at no additional cost. All monies are handled in accordance with the strictest standards of the Florida Bar, insuring that your money is handled professionally and without incident.
WHAT IS OUR ROLE AS TITLE AGENT?
Our primary goal as your chosen title agent is to insure that your transaction is closed without any problems. Included in our service, we will: (i) order a title search and city/county lien letters; (ii) review title and work to clear any defects to insure that you are vested with “free and clear” title at closing; (iii) payoff any mortgages, liens and taxes; (iv) record all appropriate documents; and (v) issue your title insurance policy. We will undertake whatever we must and provide an unsurpassed level of service to make sure you leave your closing fully satisfied.
HOW EQUITY TITLE & ESCROW BEGAN
David Kahan has been a Real Estate Attorney since 1995. Mr. Kahan began his career at one of the largest and most well respected law firms in Florida, concentrating his practice on all aspects of real estate transactions. During his time there he represented large commercial banks, retail shopping center developers and residential developers and builders.
After experiencing the inefficiencies of the closing process first-hand, Mr. Kahan started Equity Title & Escrow in 1999 with the goal of providing a level of service and professionalism previously unseen in the residential title services market. Almost six years later, Mr. Kahan is proud to be a leader in the closing, title and escrow industry by providing a quick, professional and friendly service, allowing all of Equity Title & Escrow clients to be more productive.
Mr. Kahan is an authorized Title Agent for Chicago Title Insurance Company and Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation, two of the largest title companies in the world.
